The Pure Porte 2 Gold is one of the first water ionizers sold in the United States. People were amazed when when they felt energized by simply drinking the water. The Pure Port II is made Toyo in Japan has been the standard for many years by which all other water ionizers are judged. It is known as a  work horse. In the early days families would share water with several neighbors and this machine just kept on giving. Most machines are at least ten years old now and customers continue to report that there machine is still making "purple water" meaning water with 8 or 9 pH. That is quiet a testimony. The technology used in the Pure Porte has been coveted by other companies and recently Toyo sold this technology to a Japanese firm named Enagic who makes the Leveluk brand of water ionizers. Leveluk ionizers are only available through multi-level network marketing agents and are very expensive. Enagic now calls the water produced by its Leveluk ionizers "Kangen water".
